Etyka publikacyjna

To maintain high-quality scientific publications, the editorial team adheres to ethical principles, and any declaration of scientific misconduct results in article rejection or withdrawal from publication. All forms of scientific misconduct are not tolerated, including unauthorized reuse (even from one's own work), falsification of results, manipulation of figures and graphs, and ghost authorship practices.
Adherence to the following principles is required:
Conflicts of interest related to the published article should be disclosed at the submission stage.
The manuscript must be approved by all authors.
Authors should provide a discussion emphasizing the significance of their work's results.
Methods and data should enable other scientists to replicate the experiment.
Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously in part or in full in any other scientific journal, apart from presentation at symposia and scientific conferences, that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere and it will not be published elsewhere in English or any other language without prior written permission of the copyright holder.
Duplication of the same research results is unacceptable.
Plagiarism, data manipulation, and falsification of research results are not tolerated.
Plagiarism is defined as copying text, figures, tables, research results, and ideas from other works (including one's own) without proper citation (source citation). Each borrowed text from another work should be quoted using quotation marks and the appropriate reference.
Detection of plagiarism during the review process may result in rejection, while for already published articles, withdrawal or publication of a correction with information on scientific misconduct is possible.
In case of unauthorized manipulation of figures, such as adding or removing parts of original figures, altering the layout and grouping of figures, or changing colors to conceal certain information, the article may be rejected during the review process. If manipulation is detected after publication, withdrawal of the manuscript or publication of a correction with information on scientific misconduct is possible.
The Editorial Board strives to prevent and counteract ethical breaches during article publication. Any indication of manipulation or improper data usage may require contacting the authors' home institution or funding agency. Authors are obliged to adhere to ethical principles in the publication process in the Life Sciences Reports journal.
